THE STORIES BELOW WERE WRITTEN BY KAIPPG VOLUNTEERS IN KENYA.  IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO COME FORWARD WITH THESE TYPE OF STORIES AND WE APPLAUD THE COURAGE OF THE WOMEN WHO HAVE SHARED THEM WITH US.

Welcome to our world of frustration and confusion.  My name is Pamela Nakiru and I am going to tell you how I got into this life.  I call it life because it is what I make in this world.

THE STORY OF ESTHER ACHIENG AMBALA

Many things in my life could be different, but I guess they won't be now. Every morning I wake up I feel like crying, but I cannot because I cannot afford to there is no time to. I have to start my day checking on my brother and taking food to him, where he now resides by the shade of a tree he insists that that is home at the Hilton slums at the outcasts of the London Estate at the northern region of Nakuru town.
